I just watched Outwit Tiger Mountain, and I miss Tsui Hark's martial arts years and the underrated Seven Swords. Seven Swords films, including the TV series "Seven Swords Down the Tianshan Mountains" in which Tsui Hark is the artistic supervisor, are all undervalued films by the market.
Tsui Hark put a lot of thought and effort into the Seven Swords, including the design of the Seven Swords, the transformation of the realistic style, and he has great ambition to shape the meaning of the rivers and lakes embodied by the Seven Swords, although it is not necessarily expressed through the film as a whole. It is very good, but it is still full of the martial arts feelings that Tsui Hark can bring to people. Tsui Hark originally wanted to make it into several parts, but he didn't expect that the market would not buy it. Tsui Hark was greatly frustrated, and he couldn't continue to spread the rivers and lakes that had started. This is his great regret.
The market for this film is not good, mainly because the realism is not popular with the mainstream public, but for those who have unforgettable feelings of martial arts, this film is still very memorable.
