Children's growth film, family film, scenery film? A lighthearted and sad film, natural scenery and human creation, genius and mortal, cowboy and female doctoral scientist. A 10-year-old, with his own ingenuity, roams the world of grown-ups, from one state to another, from western farms to eastern cities. This story just suits me so well. I've always wanted to write a road novel, but it didn't work, and this story made me want to try again.
