That's how God does things

I just finished watching a movie with my friends, struck while the iron was hot, and came here to write a review.
Seeing that some of my friends read it very well, God helps those who help themselves, the God revealed in the Bible usually does not directly intervene in our lives, giving us superpowers to change the world. Yes, He does want us to be the salt and light of the world, but He wants us first to be patient, to train through pain and to equip us like good soldiers of Jesus Christ, that "we pass through the Valley of Tears, and make it a place of fountains, and The blessing of the autumn rain covers the whole valley."
He didn't give David suddenly great skill to rival Goliath, but prepared him from a young age to kill lions and bears. David's solid basic skills, superb skills, and his faith in God at the moment of battle made the story of "David kills Goliath".
He also didn't give Peter a sudden rock-like confidence to preach the gospel to all nations, but to "stretch him quickly" when he fell into the water, and pity him when he broke his promise. It was only by realizing his weakness that Peter really began to appear strong in his weakness, becoming a fisher of men.
He also did not make Moses suddenly extremely humble, but through forty years of shepherding in the wilderness made him shed the vanity and arrogance of being an Egyptian prince, so that he could endure the day and night of the millions of Israelites who came out of Egypt. Complaining, partaking in the Red Sea, crossing the wilderness, entering the land of Canaan, and showing the glory of God.
Today, I also believe that this God loves us. Precisely because He loves us, He does not want us to always expect something for nothing, but He wants us to imitate the meek and lowly likeness of His Son in all things.
Back in the movie, Evan hopes that he can change the world, and God prepares him to be a man of faith, believing that what he does can be used by Him, and finally saves everyone in that place with the "New York Ark" built; Evan His wife wanted her family to be close, so God prepared her to be a helper for her husband, a companion for her children, and gain love and affection from the experience of building an ark with her family.
After watching the movie, many friends feel that it is not difficult to change the world, the secret is "do only one small thing at a time", an act of random kindness. From tomorrow onwards, be a person who loves God, do your duty as a human being, work hard, and love others as best you can. That's all, but it is undoubtedly the secret of happiness.

  • Eugene: [to Evan] I love you!... I mean, I think we should hang out socially... I have a new ping pong table.

  • Rita: Why do you sound like Evan Baxter but look like a Bee Gee?
