family film

From the perspective of a child, it tells the life of a child in a divorced family. The narrative is plain, true, and delicate. The little girl is not a sweetheart. Except for the night when her parents, stepfather and stepmother didn't accompany her, she never cried. Covered with plainness - the happiness in the film is all real.
From stealing the flowers from my mother (those lost by my father), to the fact that I would rather spend a day with my stepfather and stepmother than cherish a rare day with my mother.
In conclusion, this is an anti-divorce movie.
ps: The film clearly shows what children of divorced families need

The color of the picture is beautiful, and the clothes are beautiful

Reflect the adult world from a child's point of view. A delightful subject. The slightly deliberate twists and turns of the plot were vehemently concealed by the very natural performance of the little girl. There is no narration-style bridge in the whole film to show the child's thoughts, as if everything is hidden behind those clear eyes. So there is a moment that makes people feel that no matter how beautiful family ethics are, it is like an exaggerated joke.

  • Lincoln: I was bitten by a turtle once.

    Margo: Were you really?

Lincoln: Yeah... yeah. It even left a scar if you...

    Margo: Rea... really?

Lincoln: [shows Margo his bitten finger] It could've left a scar.

    [Margo laughs]

Lincoln: It's that bad. It could've left a scar.

Margo: Right, yeah. So, is it quite traumatic for you being back here with the turtles?

Lincoln: [interrupting] It was. This is kinda like therapy for me.

    Margo: Oh! It is? Okay.

    Lincoln: Meeting the beast again.

    [Margo laughs]

  • Lincoln: You don't deserve her!
