The story of the movie is quite simple, but it is very sad to watch: a father with a little dementia takes a fake million-dollar winning ticket to collect the prize, and his son embarks on an absurd journey to satisfy his father. Along the way, the son can be said to have experienced his father's past life, met his father's first love girlfriend, dull brother, and various friends who came to ask for benefits after hearing about winning the lottery... So through the son's perspective, we also re-acquainted ourselves with this old man. : A hero who has returned from war, a good man who will not reject others, a true love who walks with his mother one step at a time. The two fathers and sons also shortened the distance between each other along the way. What touched me the most was that my father, who was stubborn to accept the award, just didn't want to die for nothing, and hoped to leave something for his children. In order to satisfy the last wish of the old man, the son sold his car and exchanged a truck for his father. Although he didn't get the million-dollar bonus, he fulfilled the million-dollar bonus dream and won the wealth of the whole world. He is not great, but he is worthy of praise. Life is like this, no matter how absurd, only the family is the most tolerant of us. In the end, every parent will eventually become a child. What we should do is to be considerate of them, instead of complaining and complaining, and satisfying them like they bought us toys when we were young.
"Nebraska" is a warmth rooted in reality, and processing it as a black-and-white film will make people temporarily let go of the pursuit of visual enjoyment and pay more attention to the many hidden emotions.
