The movie "Forty-seven Ronin": Japan's history and nature is to uphold the spirit of Bushido, and the militarism mixed with World War II launched a war of aggression that made the victim country so painful. So asking the Japanese to get rid of this "spirit" in their bones is like telling the Chinese not to learn the way of Confucius and Mencius. What a good samurai, willing to sacrifice himself against evil because of the unforgiveness of this "spirit".
