all is lost

In my opinion, the most pessimistic sentence is that man is nothing but a body that comes and goes in a hurry. It's just desire that drives us to pursue material things, pursue feelings, and pursue all good things. But once we have it, we do our best not to lose it, so we become greedy, comfortable, and attached to what we have.

The protagonist of this film is an old man who doesn't know his age, name, or occupation. Such a "three-no-person" has a boat, a fully equipped boat, floating on the endless sea. No matter what the past is or what the current mood of the old man is, the old man just lives skillfully and sails to the unknown distance.

The sea is mysterious and unpredictable.

Waves of danger followed, and the old man had to abandon the boat. He picked out as many essentials as possible and started a new life on a rubber raft. Without a well-stocked boat, the old man's life becomes more and more difficult, especially without fresh water. Despair gradually took over. The cargo ship that fell from the sky turned a blind eye to the old man who was close at hand.

The old man couldn't bear it any longer, and he didn't want to wait any longer, and a fire burned the last habitat - the rubber raft. From this moment on, the old man really has nothing, and even his life is at stake. The director deliberately stretched out a hand at the end. An optimistic person would definitely say that the old man was saved, while a pessimistic person would say that this was just the last wish and fantasy of the old man.

I don't know which answer is correct, and I don't know if my understanding makes sense. But in my opinion, I would like to believe that the old man was saved. Because what is left of the old man but a tired body and a desire to survive?

We saw the whole process of how an old man who lived a leisurely life was down and out. There was no hysterical cries, no emotional tears, and every danger depended on the old man's strength and survival instinct to get away.

In my opinion, "Youth Pie" is more like a fairy tale, full of thrills; but this film faces the cruelty of the sea without any superfluity. It tells us the original appearance of a person in a desperate situation, wisdom, life experience, feelings, Words are important to us, but even with these, we still can't live this life well.

It is very difficult for a person to abandon everything. Just like us, maybe we can't do it without the internet for two days. Not to mention those full of tempting desires.

Actually, I'm in a bad mood today. Not just because of the worsening of the cold, but also because of hearing bad news. There is a former colleague of the same age, who is a strong girl. She has been under a lot of work pressure and is not happy. She once told me that she found a good boyfriend and listened to her all day long. She was worried that this would be bad for her feelings, so she resigned soon after. I admire her courage and hope she can keep her happiness forever. She's been doing really well for the past few years. It's just that she suddenly got leukemia, her former boyfriend became her husband, and now she has been waiting by the hospital bed.

I was thinking, such a good girl knows how to enjoy and cherish, but she still encounters unfortunate things. But maybe it's because she is usually very open, so in such a bad situation, she can still be very optimistic, which is really distressing. Wish her a speedy recovery!

Finally, give a thumbs up to the main actor of the film!
