A tragic hero who is only a short-lived

You can watch it with emotion and talk about it to share with the public;

you can also watch it without knowing what it is like, silently ponder, and reminisce about self-digestion. This movie belongs to the latter.

Originally ran like a wolf like a tiger, but it was a short-lived tragic and solemn - the hero who bloomed for a summer, the sadness of the lifeless love is warmed by the nun, like a match that can only warm for a moment, this moment before and after Lying on a cold matchbox or concrete floor - just like the protagonist's wandering cardboard box at first may end up on the street. The master doesn't play much but is still happy. There is no bright ending as usual in movies. There is hidden sadness from beginning to end, where does the sadness come from, no longer an American hero with one hand turning the sky, and returning to the redemption of ordinary people - there is no pioneering weapon. Hands, no omnipotent friends to help, no glamorous female companions to season, when a lonely man takes revenge alone is no longer a big attraction, chivalrous fists are no longer the selling point of this movie - Statham's movies are no longer just thinking with fists , the more indifference is expressed, the more tenderness is called. The nun's redemption represents love and kindness or something else.••••••

    It is very different from Jason Statham's film, the action is not action, and the literature is not literary. Literature and violence, killers and nuns, and faith is sometimes not necessarily the ultimate redemption.

Redemption quotes

  • Cristina: You look like a good man.

    Joey: So take a picture.

    Cristina: Did your daughter ask for photos?

    Joey: No, when she's older. This way she'll have something to remind her of me.

    Cristina: You won't see her?

    Joey: I don't think I'll look like this for much longer.

  • [last lines]

    Joey: [in his letter] Now I go back to the street and disappear. I was alive again for one summer. I'm glad I spent it with you. I hope Africa treats you well. All my love, Joseph Smith.
