very classic horror movie

This movie deduces a real death situation, when the protagonists enter the scope of illusion, the consequences are doomed to death. Some alchemy things can never be explained by science (of course some people will never understand). Director Mike Flanagan's new film is really extraordinary. It is recommended that people with an IQ below 120 should not watch it, otherwise the chaotic scenes in the later stage may be difficult to understand. At the end, the male protagonist really wanted to cry when he saw his parents and sister in the police car with blurry eyes. I don't know if he will remember the last sentence of the sister after this incident. . .

Don't compete with the forces of evil, run, run. The same haunted house/things affect people, deceive what you see, Oculus is much better than Haunting of Hill House. Scared me to meditate on prosperity and democracy.

Although it was a death mission from the very beginning, the young lady has wisdom and courage, and I really hope she can win in the end. Don't like this ending.

Oculus quotes

  • Kaylie Russell: The trail starts in London, in 1754. Philip Lasser, 17th Earl of Leicester, acquired the mirror and hung it over his fireplace and... So in 1755, Philip Lasser was found in the grand fireplace, burned beyond recognition.

  • Kaylie Russell: The next known owner is an American railroad tycoon named Robert Clancy, 1864. Clancy apparently weighed over 300 pounds. In fact, while attending university in Connecticut, he was known as the South Windham Whale. He hung the glass in his ballroom in Atlanta. Later that year, Robert Clancy is photographed by a local newspaper, and, uh, well he's dropped a few pounds. His obit was printed a few weeks later. Doesn't list a cause of death. Unfortunately, he and his estate, and the glass are presumably destroyed in Sherman's march to the ocean in 1865.
