Wuthering Heights is a childhood sweetheart, enduring, epic love story. It is the fairy tale of the talented British female writer Emily Bronte, the woman who has never been in love. The hero Heathcliff's love for Katherine, a cheerful and headstrong girl, is the most magnificent love I've ever seen. His deliberate conspiracy just wanted Catherine to return to his side again. He affectionately called "Cathy" again and again, and from the moment his lover left this world, his world completely collapsed. After that, he lived miserably with a crazy plan of revenge, but when this method could no longer satisfy him, he had to end his life in a bitter love that he couldn't get rid of.
Since "Wuthering Heights" came out, it has been successfully interpreted into many versions of film and television works. Among them, the 1992 version starred famous actors Ralph Fiennes and Juliet Binoche. Their unparalleled acting skills allowed me to analyze the characteristics of Heathcliff and Katherine from a deeper level. After watching the film, every time I think of Heathcliff and Katherine, images of them come to my mind as if they were themselves.
Another earlier black-and-white version of "Wuthering Heights" starred the famous actor Laurence Oliver, one of the British "Three Heroes". I have watched it many times. What is unforgettable is the deep eyes of Lawrence, the actor of Xi in the play. Also worth mentioning is the background music of the film, which I like very much. But unfortunately, Vivien Leigh failed to participate in the filming of this film, because the director thought that the role of Kay was not suitable for Vivien Leigh, and let her play Isabella, which was rejected by him. I don't think anyone is better suited to play Catherine than Vivien Leigh, which is really a shame that the film couldn't be more perfect.
I thought of another sentence: the reason why love can be so unforgettable that it can experience the test of life and death is often because time has not had time to destroy it.
