Atypical priest by Brendan Gleeson

When it comes to Irish priests, what immediately springs to mind is Liam Neeson's character in "Gangs of New York" or "Pluto's Breakfast", where power lurks in secret, like their long black robes under the cross.

And what kind of Irish priest is Brendan Gleeson, who once portrayed the "atypical guard" in "Bad Guard"?
He is a single father, loves his troubled daughter, he is accompanied by a dog, he is lonely, confused, overwhelmed by a death threat while listening to his confession; trying to get help from "superior" to no avail, trying to escape , to finally return to the beach to accept fate.

Several plots/details in the play are particularly exciting:
1) The priest returns home and kisses the dog on the bed
2) The priest asks the boss for help and advice by pretending to be corrupt
3) The doctor played by Littlefinger tells stories to the priest in a bar.
4 ) The priest took a gun at the bar after being drunk (the killer has no holiday + God bless the United States, both of them have no brains!!)

The last part of the priest's torture is also wonderful but too abusive!! In contrast, I prefer "Bad Guard" ” adopts an open ending, and it is up to the audience to choose whether to live or die.

It's been a long time since I wrote a long movie review. I'll go here first and watch it again after the subtitles come out.…

A movie with depth, 192 acting is superb (ncf self-respect), I still don't have the patience to drag the progress bar to watch it, maybe it's quite religious. Anyway, it's a very surprising movie, even if you don't watch it seriously, you need four stars 233
