With regard to faith, what is it, where is it, and is it true enough that we are so desperately seeking? When God is ruthlessly satirized, when all religious love is trampled on, and when reality dissolves the holiness, can we really only conclude that human nature is inherently evil.
"All cats are black at night."
Gray, death, injury, poverty...
The little girl jumps rope under the tree, changing step by step...
"The first time I saw you, I expected that we would end up playing cards. ." A ruthless satire of religion.

The more I think about it, the better, and Buñuel's filming is too smart, like a carefully designed domino. Hypocrisy and fake empathy in the name of religion, prayer and construction are cut together, the poor enter the house, the last supper of cos, the skipping rope is taken to suicide and turned into a homeless belt, and at the end the nun listens to pop music with loose hair play cards. Fairly taunting everyone, no one can escape, the birth of atheism at the end is truly incredible, and there's an unexpected sense of humor lingering throughout the film. The coolest thing about me is that whether it is good intentions, beliefs, or great ideas, I am moved to see if I can bear the ugliness and heaviness of reality, otherwise it will only become a farce, and the world I believe in will all be broken. . "We are all decent people." It is really high to shoot absurd facts with a sense of everyday life.

Viridiana quotes

  • Jorge: I always knew that you and I were going to end up playing tute!

  • Viridiana: I know my own weakness, and whatever I do will be humble. But, however little it is, I want to do it alone.
