Even if it is an old drama bone, it can only be a bowl of paste without glue

Before watching this movie, a friend reminded me that the movie was boring, and it was only after I watched it that I realized how boring it was.
A good film always has a selling point to attract people, whether it is a literary film or not. Either it's a deep theme, or it's a wonderful plot, or it's superb acting, but unfortunately I don't see it at all in this movie, even a little bit. The chaotic narrative structure limits the performance of the actors, the hasty progression of the plot makes the plot mediocre, and even the sacrifices of the two teammates seem a bit sloppy and nonsensical, and those who don't know it think this movie is a comedy.
The clutter of the plot is the fatal flaw of this movie, especially after the Lost Treasures team was sent to various places in Europe, I could hardly see them doing anything meaningful at their respective destinations, just wasting time and life.
In the play, George Clooney spoke out the theme of the film. Unfortunately, I don't know if it was influenced by Chinese movies. The theme that was talked about was simply reduced to preaching. Of course, compared to domestic movies, his only advantage It just doesn't take long to teach.
This movie is the first movie that made me feel drowsy among the American blockbusters imported from China.

The Monuments Men quotes

  • Frank Stokes: You can wipe out an entire generation, you can burn their homes to the ground and somehow they'll still find their way back. But if you destroy their history, you destroy their achievements and it's as if they never existed. That's what Hitler wants and that's exactly what we are fighting for.

  • James Granger: Stop, stop. Stop. I seem to have stepped on a land mine... of some sort.

Frank Stokes: Why d'you do something like that?

James Granger: It was a slow day.

Frank Stokes: Well, I wouldn't move.

James Granger: I'd like to at some point.
