The older teacher A fell in love with the young and beautiful B, and followed him all the way, wherever B went to school and A followed. C, who just entered Columbia University, met friends D and E through B. C was attracted by B but rejected by him. B dropped out of school and wanted to go to Paris with his friend E, but A learned that he would go with him again. In the park, A and B had an argument, and B killed A and drowned in the river.
The plot is so ordinary. If that's true, well, you'd be a little surprised. If this is a same-sex theme, ah, even more surprised. Wouldn't you be more surprised if I told you that C, D, and E in this story are the representatives of the "Beat Generation" in the American literary world.
A David Camero
B Lucian Carr
C Allen Ginsburg's "Howl"
D William Barros's "Nude Lunch"
E Jack Kerouac's "On the Road"
