The Thing: Scientists' Professional Ethics

I watched the movie for a while, but it did not affect my understanding of the development of the plot. A group of expedition personnel in the polar regions moved the frozen alien animals to the laboratory, and the aliens resurrected and killed people. They later discovered that they could quickly replicate humans.

It's time to test morality and professional ethics. In the face of the crisis that aliens may escape to the outside world, how would you deal with it? The scientists, led by the heroine, decide that no one is allowed to leave the base until it is clear who is human and who is alien. This is how scientists deal with viruses on weekdays, and now they are selflessly using it on themselves.

Noble people do noble things. In this polar scientific research base, a scene was staged: aliens kill humans, humans kill aliens, and humans kill humans by mistake. The purpose is to keep the outside world from being infected by the "virus," but the process is very cruel.

Later, the wise heroine suggested a blood test for investigation, and the laboratory was burned. She also proposed seeing if the teeth were filled to identify whether it was human because aliens cannot replicate inorganic substances.

An intricate series of escapes and no-kills, reconnaissance and anti-reconnaissance unfolded tightly. Fear and suspicion shrouded every member of the base under the snowstorm. Due to the rapid infection and replication of aliens, everyone doubted whether the other party was a human being.

There is a classic dialogue: "There are people here who are not human."

In the end, the brave, smarter humans defeated the alien and destroyed its base. Scientists have sacrificed their lives in this humanitarian crisis, leaving only the heroine and one colleague on the base.
