oscar skin

As if remembering Oscar's mouth with blood after being shot, he said in disbelief, I still have a daughter, and I still have a daughter. It is because of the discrimination and prejudice of skin color that none of the white people at the subway entrance questioned and doubted Oscar, who wanted to live anew, and spent a day with his family in earnest. The younger sister of the phone, Oscar cherishes and takes up. When it comes to living a life of drug trafficking or finding a job to survive, Oscar still works hard to find it, for the sake of living. It's just that discrimination shattered his chances of a new life.

The film portrays Oscar from many angles. The loyalty to his friends, his filial piety to his mother, his love for his daughter, and his concern for dogs all well interpret such a person. The process is too bland and has some running accounts. The subway scene that counted down to the New Year looked very heart-warming, but the final conflict was still chilling.

Another adaptation of a true event, where circumstances create tragedy. The black director's debut, however, can be calm and restrained. The first hour is as bland as water, and the second half hour is shocking. Interpreting it in a partial record way, although objective but not appealing enough, especially the fact that the real video was placed at the beginning was a failure. Three-and-a-half stars, I just watched it on New Year's Day. It is the most peaceful at home without deliberately saying a New Year's Eve or something.

Fruitvale Station quotes

  • Sophina: Wanda, they shot Oscar. They say he's alive, but his eyes was closed. They're taking him to Highland. You gotta come get us right now.

    Wanda: I'm on my way.

    Sophina: [hanging up] Oh, fuck.

  • Oscar Grant: We just tryin' to get home.

Officer Caruso: Well, maybe you should've thought about that before started acting like a punk-ass bitch.

Oscar Grant: You's a bitch-ass nigger, for real.

Officer Caruso: Did you call me a bitch-ass nigger?

Oscar Grant: Don't fuckin' say that.

    Officer Caruso: Bitch-ass nigger, huh?

Oscar Grant: [grabbed and thrown on his stomach] What the fuck? I ain't do shit!
