Do business like you are doing business

I don't know what to say after watching Steam Boy.

I think that a person's viewing preferences will change. Once upon a time, anime was my favorite thing. The first contact was with the hot-blooded comic "Saint Seiya Golden Zodiac", then a series of animations of the Saint Seiyas going to the sky, and the next is Gundam. I watched SEED first, and then continued to all the films in the UC department. The chronicle has come all over again. After watching the animation of the UC department, I can't see SEED and SEED DESTINY and the OO behind it. Although the UC system screen is not as refined as the back, but the level and meaning of the plot is higher than that of the later work, not a little bit. This was probably the first time I showed my preference for animation.

In addition to Gundam, I also continued various hot-blooded anime, Naruto and Shinigami were the main lines I was chasing at that time. While waiting for more, I also began to watch all kinds of messy anime: "EVA", "Fate Night", "Dance HIME", "NANA", "Symphonic Poetry", "Symphonic Lover's Dream", "Strawberry Marshmallow" , "Begin to be a Demon King today", "Full Metal Frenzy", "Ranma 1/2", "Angel Sanctuary", "Magic Girl", "City Hunter", "BLOOD+", "KERORO", "Steel" ", "Ghost in the Shell", "Inuyasha", "Heroes of the Galaxy", "The Prince of Tennis", "One Piece", "Hunter", "Natsume's Book of Friends", "Honey and Clover", "Azi Comics" "The King", "Miss Perfect Evolution", "Spicy Teacher", "Eyes Burning Shana", "Insect Master", "Soul of Chess", "Witch's Delivery Service", "Hokuto Shenquan", "Final Fantasy", "Shin Selected Group Different" Wenlu, Hayao Miyazaki's various films, and of course household names like Dragon Ball, Crayon Shin-chan, Conan, Doraemon, Slam Dunk, and others I've thought of. Anime that doesn't get up.

In fact, after racking my brains to think about which anime I've watched for so long, just to recall the excellent works I used to, I found that I basically didn't care about the plot before. . . But this is also normal - for the anime that is updated every Monday, every time I watch a new episode, I basically don't remember the plot of the previous episode, I just watch it for fun. For VOA, I basically watch a JQ and watch a blood. So Steamboy is an A- by previous standards.

When I started watching "Steam Boy", the picture at the beginning was very comfortable. The retro color matching, the more realistic characters, and the appropriate soundtrack all showed the supervision level of Otomo Keyang. The basic skills of this film are very solid, there are no major flaws in the picture and music, and there are even great places.

But I am old after all, and my viewing habits have changed a lot. Now I basically like to deduct the plot, and I can't bear the illogical parts of the plot. From a plot point of view alone, this film can only get a C+!

First of all, the motivation of each character is simply incomprehensible. Let’s start with the little boy’s father and grandfather. The father is a man who admires the power of science and technology. He is very smart (can build a mechanical city) and is very rational (facial paralysis + decisively close the valve when the experiment fails at the beginning), but such a smart and rational person actually chooses From his own research institute in the United States, he rushed to London to build a huge arsenal, and then exchanged fire with the British police. . . What does he want? From the end, it seems that he wants to make human beings realize the huge power of science and technology and promote the development of science and technology in the world, but why is he showing off all kinds of force in the UK? He wants to rely on his mechanical city to fight against a country. Is this what a smart and rational scientist did?

Then there is the little boy grandpa. I can't follow the logic of grandpa's work. . . Grandpa thinks that the O'Hara consortium's move to use technology to make weapons is wrong, and then he decides to sabotage the O'Hara consortium's exhibition in London. The way Grandpa ruined the exhibition was to take a steam ball. First, he sent it home and asked his grandson to take the steam ball to find the unreliable British minister, and then the second time he asked his grandson to run away with the ball from Steam City. Grandpa, let me not say that what you did did not affect Steam City's provocative behavior against Great Britain at all, I just wanted to ask whether you are the grandfather of the little boy, and you have put your grandson in dire straits time and time again. If it weren't for this animation, your grandson would have died a long time ago.

The third is the director of the O'Hara consortium. In general, this man is the most unsound person in the whole animation. First of all, he actually showed the power of his weapon by exchanging fire with the British police! You are too provocative! I dare to ask whether you are here to do business or to smash the game. Not to mention whether you can get orders for this battle, the destruction of this mechanical city and the weapons in it is not a small sum of money. Can you earn back your orders? ? Second, the director proudly announced to the customer by showing the three armies of the sea, land and air in the machine city: the armed forces of the machine city have mastered all the control rights of the sea, land and air, and I sprayed when I saw this. . . Brother, are you fighting with the police at this stage? How proud you are to gain control of land, sea and air from the British police! Third, when this manager took the clients to escape from Steam City by airship later, he seemed to have forgotten the most important person - Miss Qianjin. At this time, it should be obvious that the steam city and the London side have already started a war. He actually left his most important boss in the battle building! (Or in combat weapons, whatever), this daughter is the granddaughter of the president. Have you ever thought about how you will explain to the president when you go back? Or if you haven't thought about going back at all, then I'll still say the same thing: Are you here to do business! All in all, the director of this O'Hara consortium is definitely not here to make money, and he acts like an extremist terrorist who has a deep hatred for Britain.

The fourth person is the founder's daughter. I don't understand why this little girl came to London. Speaking of which, the grandfather of this daughter, the founder of the consortium, should be a very powerful person. How could he send his granddaughter to an arsenal ready to fight with London. And this little girl is really off the line. First of all, she is domineering and domineering as soon as she arrives. For the time being, we don't care about her as a child, but why did you protect the little man so much later, even when the little man stole the steam ball of his consortium, she also blamed the subordinates for not shooting Playing the little male protagonist, your elbows are too strong. Even if you fall in love with him, the turning point is too sudden. That's not all, the little daughter's action speed is also terrifyingly fast. In the last scene, the little daughter was still scolding the manager on the viewing platform, and it didn't take long for her to appear on the way to the exhibition venue! You are flying at a speed! As the person in charge of the mechanical city, the general manager lost his way and took the customer to the control room when it was in a critical situation. Why did you, the first time you come to the mechanical city, go in and out of the mechanical city like searching for things? Moreover, Miss Qianjin went to the exhibition to negotiate with the Queen to bring back the little male protagonist! It is said that women in love have zero IQ, but I think this IQ is negative! How do you know that the little male protagonist is with the queen? And even if it is with the queen, why should you, a young girl, negotiate with the queen? I really don't know what to say about the way she's behaving.

In addition to the most important people in this scene, other supporting roles also appeared off-line behavior, such as the British general, who actually commanded the battleship to bombard the mechanical city. You know, his Lady Queen is in the exhibition hall just one street away! Putting it in "The Golden Armor of the City", this is clearly the behavior of a minister to usurp power and kill the monarch! What do you want me to say? And the blond-haired assistant finally smiled evilly and said to the little male protagonist, "We still have a steam ball here." When I heard this, I thought he was going to do something, at least he was going to fight back, but this guy actually said "" I want you to open a workshop with me, it doesn't matter if you are in the United States or in France"! ! ! ! ! ! You are not! ! ! ! ! ! This feels like saying "let's go on a date" with your sworn enemy at the end of the world, which is too dramatic! Are you sure you didn't miss the line?

This is not over yet. At the end of the whole film, the ending song continues. There are some pictures of the ending scene in the picture, and then when we start to introduce the supervisors in the animation, there is an incredible scene in the picture: the Eiffel Tower! My friends and I were stunned at the time. Why did the Eiffel Tower come to make soy sauce? The whole plot takes place in London, even if the consortium is from the United States, what are you doing with an Eiffel Tower at the end? I can understand you if you put a Statue of Liberty. If you put an Eiffel Tower in Paris, does it mean that the little male protagonist really went to France to start a workshop with his yellow-haired assistant?
