A cold male voice brought the beginning of the story. Adolescence is a hurdle for the five cardamom daughters of a Lisbon family. The first to commit suicide was the youngest daughter, Cecilia (Hanna R. Hall). She became vulnerable and low, wanting to end her life for no apparent reason. The parents thought it would improve the situation by letting her go out with the boy. However, Cecilia chose to bid farewell to her life.
The one who interacts frequently with boys and has an indulgent temperament is another daughter, Lux (Kirsten Dunst). Lux knew the playboy Tripp, had sex with him, but was eventually abandoned by Tripp. Fear of losing their daughter again, Lisbon parents lost their minds. They trapped their four daughters at home and gave them the tightest protection. However, the tragedy of suicide, like an epidemic, spreads rapidly.
