about homosexuality

I have always thought that homosexuality should meet and love like all heterosexuals as described in "Adele's Life", or be together for a lifetime, or because of money, third party involvement, class gap, different ideas and other reasons and separate.
But that's what I consider equal.
As described in "Stranger by the Lake", in fact, a large majority of gays and lesbians are marginal and beyond doubt. With a temporary paradise, they can go on living. How can there be so many emotional pursuits, the body can be happy for a while, and they can continue to live regardless of their names and contacts with each other.

GV's appearance has a literary heart, which is the impression left by "Stranger by the Lake". The film adopts a minimalist style, not even a soundtrack. The use of fixed cameras makes the lust infinitely magnified, whether it is murder or sexual desire, in the end it is just a different way to seek pleasure, and it ends when Frank calls out his lover's name in the dark, and the lust stops. The lethality is self-evident.

Love, sex, and desire are always so blurry and terrifying... The most familiar person by the lake may be the most unfamiliar! The title is a pun, great praise!

Stranger by the Lake quotes

  • Henri: Are you married?

    Franck: No.

Henri: But you live with a woman?

    Franck: No, I'm gay.

Henri: You only sleep with men?

Franck: [smiles] Can we speak frankly?

    Henri: It's unusual.

    Franck: What is?

Henri: Guys who sleep together, sure, but they've got a wife or girlfriend. Guys who are gay - I mean, really gay - are pretty rare.

  • Franck: [smitten by Michel] I really like him.

Henri: [warily] He does have a nice body.

Franck: It's typical. The guys I like are always taken.
