Where is the road to wonderland?

I haven't seen the previous masterpiece directed by Malik, so when I saw this film, it can be said that I was amazed. Beautiful shooting pictures, murmured narration, and coherent and integrated music, the whole film surprised me and felt like I was reading a long love poem. Especially at the beginning and end, I didn't expect a feature film to be as full of romantic and beautiful rhythm as a music MV.

what is love? Love is the impact of sensual desires, the whistling of mountains and valleys, the tenderness of caressing the hairline, the freedom of dancing in the forest, the passion of a bulging heart, and the deep peace of the soul.
We yearn for freedom and always want to depend on it, we search hard but we are afraid of bondage, sweet and anxious because of too rich love, harsh and confused because of too deep love, happy and careless because of too simple love.
In the beautiful music and poetry, I see the love between the hero and heroine jumping with the picture, intoxicated, agitated, contradictory, lost, entangled and isolated. Matter and soul, ties and freedom, possession and tolerance, love has too many ways to begin and express, and too many conflicts and contradictions. We often have and fall deeply like them in an instant, then flee for reasons we can't even articulate. Maybe it's not us that can't tell, but love itself.
But what is the most beautiful feeling in the world that can stop us from pursuing it all the time?

Without a professional judge's vision, some people may think it is too vain for such a particularly egoistic and emotional film, but I personally think it is particularly suitable for expressing the complex and changeable beauty of love.

To the Wonder quotes

  • Marina: I write on water what I dare not say.

  • Father Quintana: We wish to live inside the safety of the laws. We fear to choose. Jesus insists on choice. The one thing he condemns utterly is avoiding the choice. To choose is to commit yourself. And to commit yourself is to run the risk, is to run the risk of failure, the risk of sin, the risk of betrayal. But Jesus can deal with all of those. Forgiveness he never denies us. The man who makes a mistake can repent. But the man who hesitates, who does nothing, who buries his talent in the earth, with him he can do nothing.
