I remember the little girl at my colleague's house watching "Thor" on her mother's mobile phone, pointing to the pitiful loki and asking her mother, is this a bad guy? Her mother nodded approvingly.
The dichotomy of simply labeling the good guy and the bad guy has taken up too much time in our cinematic world. Now go to a movie from 20 years ago, even if the soundtrack is completely lost, you can easily distinguish between good and bad people by face shape, "good face", "bad face".
Fortunately, those times are over. After all, using a simple label to assess the diversity of human nature seems to underestimate the IQ of the audience. There is no need for good or bad labels, it does not mean that there is no good and evil and judgments of good and evil in the film. Based on the core values of "human nature is good at the beginning" and "people's hearts are kind", usually movies will leave a happy ending. Even if it's not the happy ending that popcorn movies or typical Hong Kong dramas like to use, at least it won't disappoint the expectations of audiences who expected the ending of "good guys" and "bad guys". The so-called, evil begets evil. Even in the highly developed British and American film markets, similar settings or unspoken rules sometimes manifest themselves. For example, duels and beatings can be seen everywhere, but the abuse scenes are quite restrained. Killers can be framed in close-ups, but the scenes of killing dogs and cats are extremely rare. That's why there is an extremely ironic scene in "Snatch and Rob" where the bully lets go of the puppy that swallowed the diamond.
There are no good or bad labels, but good and bad feelings never leave. And usually because of the halo effect, some professions are often expected to be given enough sense of justice by the audience. Such as teachers, police, firefighters, priests and ordinary workers. Others are prone to have bad expectations, such as sex workers, bankers, lawyers, and unemployed people.
Such expectations are often accommodated. Because when you see a firefighter lynching a prostitute framed by a teacher who set fire to the pastor's police boyfriend in order to have sex with the pastor. You might leave the theater in a fit of rage and start swearing.
I just didn't expect that a similar breakthrough would be made by Korean films that also have no rating system. The explosion of Korean movies in 2013 is already a fact. On the other hand, the values "bound" to the profession simply cannot stand up to careful scrutiny. Furthermore, Korean movies may indeed have a tradition of complaining about police detectives.
There are four police characters with enough scenes in the film. Secretary, showing the image of incompetent and inaction leadership. The beautiful police officer presents a mediocre image of a special police officer (you must know that she has enough time and ability to deal with the gangsters who are not well-prepared). Section Chief Jiang embodies the image of a police detective in power who will do anything to achieve his goals (whether it is against enemies or friends). In one detail, after section chief Jiang broke the leaves of the director's beloved plant, he turned it at an angle so that it could not be seen. It embodies the character that only cares about the result and does not care about the process. To a certain extent, this also contributed to the fact that the gangster forces described in the movie world covered the sky with only one hand. And Li Zicheng has changed from an ignorant little police detective to a gang boss with healthier values, not an undercover officer who uses each other to guard against threats.
Movies, after all, will still transmit energy. It goes beyond simple professional values and does not express disapproval of good and evil and the audience's sense of justice. It should be noted that the flower of evil cannot bear good fruit. When a police officer like Section Chief Jiang was in power and sent his way of dealing with problems closer to that of a gang in the traditional sense, the balance of good and evil was no longer tilted toward the police.
In the chaotic world of police stations and gangsters, Li Zicheng is indeed needed to create a new world. Suddenly I found that the name just now was wrongly typed as "Li Zicheng". Li Zicheng Li Zicheng, it doesn't matter.
The girl from my colleague's family is still watching Hemsworth's various Thor POSEs seriously. I really don't know if she will be bewitched by Loki's "good guy" image when she watches Thor 2?
