Too many reversals in the second half are a bit at eight o'clock. The last shot is not as awkward as "A Farewell", but the worrying atmosphere and delicate structure are still there. The first half is really good. The director portrays the estrangement between people. The silence and estrangement at the beginning of the first scene and the faint awkwardness throughout the scene have not been eliminated even when the quarrel is the most fierce. The Iranian ex-husband is really gentle, I really like his expression and the a little blunt twist in his pronunciation.

I hate seeing Farhadi more and more. Too much detail makes people feel long and trivial. Coupled with the French dialogue and the heroine's excessive force, it makes it difficult to get into the plot. It seems that in the future I will have to change the mantra from "I am the one who has finished watching The Tree of Life" to "I am the person who has finished reading The Past".

Samir: In this way, you will teach them that always there is an escape way named apology!

Ahmad: When did you meet each other?
Marie Brisson: In drugstore. He came to get his wife's medicines.
[Ahmad sneers]
Marie Brisson: What?
Ahmad: In our culture is laughing.
Marie Brisson: But in our culture is mocking!
[They discuss with each other]
Marie Brisson: Just your hair became white!
