She drives her red MINI COOPER and doesn't play old songs from old 1991 tapes that symbolize her past and old lover's songs. She was thirty-seven years old, but she was still alive at seventeen. At least this moment she worked so hard to be seventeen.
"You still look the same, unlike the rest of us who have changed," said old buddy Buddy.
Her dream of returning to the age of seventeen seemed to be acknowledged by her old lover, but she didn't understand the phrase "it's not like the rest of us have changed."
She went to visit Buddy and his wife, victorious. Buddy's wife looks so ordinary, and she's a goofy band, and she's full of contempt. But when Buddy watched his wife play the song full of memories of her and Buddy, the crown of PROM QUEEN on her head seemed to shatter.
Get him drunk and talk about the DIRTY LITTLE STORY when he was a teenager. Get a kiss from a drunk Buddy who looks like a winner. And full of teenage narcissism and self-righteousness.
In the end, the white silk shirt dyed with wine and turned purple, standing in front of Buddy's house, clamoring like a child, and becoming a sympathetic lunatic in everyone's eyes. She raved about how she and Buddy were made for each other and how they fell in love and lost their baby. Yelling as if everything has turned into this so far is inexplicable and extremely cruel to her.
She cried and told Matt why no one in the world loved me.
Matt said men like me were born to love women like you.
Matt asked her why it must be Buddy and not any other man in the world.
She said because what he knew was THE BEST OF ME.
Matt said, no, that wasn't the best of you, that was when I was the best, but you didn't even look at me.
Has she finally decided to grow up.
She left the town again, and PROM QUEEN's old dream.
She used to be the MEAN GIRL in that kind of campus movie. The handsome and smart hero in the movie ended up with the ordinary and kind heroine. What happened to the annoying and enviable MEAN GIRL in the end, probably no one cares.
In fact, whether it is LOSER who was bullied at school or the popular QUEEN BEE, everyone just wants to be happy, and it is not easy for anyone.
