Keanu Reeves is so fascinated by Chinese martial arts. I think this is the most fundamental factor in the filming of "Man of Tai Chi", and it is also the reason why he and Chen Hu became attached to Chen Hu early during the filming of The Matrix. The response to the film itself was mediocre, and it was even called Keanu Reeves' late-season work. The setting of "Colosseum" and other bridges has long been used badly by the director in various forms, and the fighting scenes of "Man of Tai Chi" are not so good. Exciting, but among the movies with Chinese kung fu elements made by Western directors, this movie is considered a "superior masterpiece", which is many times better than last year's "Iron Fist". Applaud the influence of Chinese Kung Fu culture.

3.5 stars, no hero, good action, a little bit of filming in some places, especially the end of the fight scene (what a slow motion, Levi beat Chen Hu but didn't let him fly, but pulled it back I know about fake slow motion and hanging steel wires...) The story is a little old-fashioned, but the whole thing is better than I thought, and the storyboards are mature.

All kinds of walk you. What are all the noises coming from your mouth?

Man of Tai Chi quotes

  • Master Yang: You must meditate.

    'Tiger' Chen Lin Hu: Why?

Master Yang: To clear your mind, guide your Chi and gain control.

'Tiger' Chen Lin Hu: I have control.

Master Yang: No, you have power not control.

'Tiger' Chen Lin Hu: Power is control.

Master Yang: That is an illusion.

'Tiger' Chen Lin Hu: It is not an illusion... it's reality. I live in it, you don't. What I learn here I can't use out there.

Master Yang: How can you use what you have not yet learned? Only when you've dispelled these illusions, will you find your way again.

  • Master Yang: The universe is blind to our pain and deaf to our sorrows. All things have their way.
