The literary uncle also thinks about life

This film is too cruel. I never thought that Statham could make such a film. I thought it was an action film that punched the flesh, but I was wrong.

The nun's dream was to be a ballerina, and Joey was a deserter from the war in Afghanistan. They warm each other up this summer. What the nun experienced as a child made her a nun to atone for her sins. Joey hides in the streets and becomes a homeless man. Then, both nuns and Joey are changing each other, reflecting on themselves, and redeeming themselves. More importantly, they are also influencing each other. Maybe, the two people's life paths are very different, but at a certain point of intersection, they will come together.

For a moment, the feeling rose to the level of humanity. Joey continued to track down the murderer for Isabella's death. Finally, in the arms of the nun, he wondered whether what he had done was correct. As for the ex-wife and daughter, although I can't give them love, I think his ex-wife must still love him.

The nun, this Polish girl, is not pretty. But not ugly either.

It's more literary, and it's aimed at the male protagonist.

Redemption quotes

  • Cristina: You look like a good man.

    Joey: So take a picture.

Cristina: Did your daughter ask for photos?

Joey: No, when she's older. This way she'll have something to remind her of me.

    Cristina: You won't see her?

Joey: I don't think I'll look like this for much longer.

  • [last lines]

Joey: [in his letter] Now I go back to the street and disappear. I was alive again for one summer. I'm glad I spent it with you. I hope Africa treats you well. All my love, Joseph Smith.
