The film is based on a true story.

When they were children, Rudy's family was a fan of football. Although his father worked hard in the factory, it was the happiest thing for the family to sit together, share food, and watch their favorite University of Notre Dame football game. Little Rudy announced to his family that he was going to play a football game at the University of Notre Dame after graduation, and was ridiculed by the whole family, but Little Rudy could clearly remember what the commentator said in each game and repeat it accurately. With his excited expression, I can also guess that the dream of a football game has already taken root in his young heart.

But because of Rudy's poor academic performance, his chances of getting into Notre Dame were almost zero, and he was even rejected by his teachers from visiting Notre Dame. Four years later, Rudy and his brother, Father, are both working in the factory. On the day he turned 22, his best friend Peter, who was the only one who believed he could achieve his dreams, gave him the birthday present of his dreams—a Notre Dame uniform, which Rudy never gave up over the years. He continued to save money in the hopes of paying for his future tuition. "My father told me that dreams make life bearable," Peter told him.

But a factory accident killed his best friend, and that's when Rudy decided to drop everything and go to Notre Dame to pursue his dreams. Even though his family still did not agree with him at this time, he could only fight alone and go to the University of Notre Dame alone. There he met a kind priest. The priest asked him to study at a two-year college of the Holy Cross next to the University of Notre Dame. As long as he can complete the credits and get good grades, he may have the opportunity to attend the University of Notre Dame. Rudy readily accepted

In the vocational school, Rudy studied hard and got acquainted with the teaching assistant, Emperor Bob. The teaching assistant agreed to help Rudy study, but asked Rudy to introduce a female classmate to him. Rudy approached the Notre Dame football team in various ways, and he went to the field staff for free as an assistant coach, saying: "I would volunteer to play for the team and do anything, but I can't because I'm not a student here. But I will be. I think if I'm going to play here, I need to be familiar with the terrain." (the child who is persistent in chasing dreams!) Finally, the staff agreed to his request. In the rest of his life, Rudy kept contacting female classmates to get to know Bob in exchange for the review the assistant gave him. He also went to help the stadium staff on time. When working on the court, he imagined the scene of the game and ran wildly. and told the staff: "When I join the team, you must watch the first game." After a year of study, he expected to receive an admission letter from the University of Notre Dame every semester, but was again and again disappointed. When he came home for Christmas, he suddenly found that the girl he had once sworn to love had already been with his brother, and the brother and father still didn't believe that he could realize his dream. Rudy can only put his unwillingness on the field and continue to perform physical training on himself. He sees the retreat in the library every day before leaving, but he still can't see the way forward. Finally, he is angry. He complains that he studies and works every day, and that sleeping in the dungeon for 4 hours still can't get good results. He feels that a year of time has been wasted, but the black brother said: "Waste? You only want to enter what or what? "Football team, you don't realize you've had a year of high-quality education."

So Rudy continued to work, study, and train for the next year, and he was excited when he finally received a letter from Notre Dame. He went to the factory and showed his admission letter to his father, who happily announced his son's good news throughout the factory. Rudy successfully entered the University of Notre Dame and joined the sparring team, imitating the opponent's play every day. Their greatest value is not to worry about whether they are injured; the main players will deal with them mercilessly, like dealing with the most hateful enemy. Rudy tried his best to be a sparring player. He was injured and misunderstood by his teammates. He had no regrets. He still worked 100% every day and put in 4 years of sparring life. He worked hard every day. When I saw all the players on the team run to the coach's office and say that they were willing to let Rudy play his position because he deserved it, I burst into tears.

On the day of the final game, everyone on the court was shouting Rudy's name. All the players worked hard to buy him time, and finally they bought him 24 seconds of playing time. Rudy finally realized it. The dream of playing by myself, although only a short 27S, is worth it. At the end of the film: "Since 1975, the Notre Dame team has not been carried off the court." Rudy graduated from Notre Dame in 1976. All five of Rudy's younger brothers attended Notre Dame and all received their degrees.

Is it worthwhile? I think yes, it's worth it! Everyone should work to achieve their dreams. Some people can finally realize and complete their dreams, and some people can never reach that realm because of their qualifications, but what about that? They worked hard and struggled. There will be no regrets. At least I have tried 100%. Even if I can't achieve this goal in the end, I will definitely win the respect of the people around me. I suddenly thought of the "Monsters University" I watched before. The one-eyed monster in it has always wanted to be a scare specialist, no matter how hard he tried, but because he has a very cute face, he was not born like this, but because he is working hard The continuous learning of knowledge in the middle has paved the way for him to become a good master of behind-the-scenes planning, so there are many ways to realize his dream. As long as you do it, it will never be too late. Life is to have fewer regrets. Even if you can't achieve your goals in the end, but you have worked hard, you will have no regrets.
