But life still seems so desolate

It's a sad story from start to finish. For me, this film is a suspense film. A woman in that era wants to live with dignity; what is her relationship like? Same-sex or opposite-sex, it is a question. And I read it with such doubts, and I didn't come to any definite conclusion until the end.
Personally, I don't like to cringe very much, this kind of character looks pitiful, but she brings more thinking. Such a drag story setting seems absurd and reasonable. At the end of the final death, the elation of the hotel owner makes people feel even more sad. Despite the bustle of the guests, despite the fact that Jo looked like a selfish bastard, despite the doctor and a waitress fleeing France, and though the child might have avoided being taken, life seemed so desolate.
Most of the high ratings are given to this seemingly absurd story, and the film is not sufficiently refined and in-depth. The actor who plays the painter is too tall, if it weren't for those big breasts, I would love 'him' deeply.
