When I saw Jim Carrey starring, I thought it was a pure comedy, but it's more of a biopic, Andy Kaufman's short life. As for many of the comedy scenes in the film, I don't find them funny, but rather heavy. It was not until the end of the film that I gradually understood that this was a bold attempt by the artist, similar to performance art. It's a bit like deadly magic, where the performer has made the art an alter ego, so that the audience is bewitched by appearances. This is the highest state of performing arts, so the true self is not understood by outsiders, just like living on the moon, which is what the title wants to express. The King of Comedy has similar feelings, but most domestic comedies don't have so many deep connotations
