From the third year, oh no, it should be the second year, I have been in contact with children. When I was a sophomore, I went to the primary school for the children of migrant workers. My third and fourth years were at NOS. After working for a year, I went to teach in a primary school in the mountainous area. The most important days in my life were all in contact with children. They got a lot of things from them, their innocent smiles, their genuine concern, and their innocent hearts.
Especially the children in the mountains that I came into contact with when I volunteered, their living environment was extremely harsh, and they were basically single parents or even orphans. Their father died because of drug addiction, or they were imprisoned because of drug trafficking, or their parents shared drugs together. Acupuncture got AIDS, and both died... Some of the children lived with their grandparents, while others took care of their older children and continued to live together. Some children in Bicheng committed suicide because they couldn't bear the pressure of further education. I have never heard these children say that life is difficult and they don't want to live. On the contrary, they are all serious about living with smiles on their faces. A burnt potato, or a very tart plum that has just grown from a tree, can make them happy for a long time.
Before I went to teach, I had a lot of rhetoric, I wanted to change the fate of these children and let them get out of the mountains... But after I actually went, I found that it was difficult to change a little bit, so for a while, I I felt powerless, and felt that my time in the mountains had brought nothing to the children. Until June 1st, some of my friends donated a little money. I used the money to buy a new set of clothes for every child in the class. They wore the new clothes and performed shows in front of the classmates and teachers in the school, took pictures, and arrived by car. At the foot of the mountain, we ate hot pot and watched cartoons in our office... On that day, at that moment, watching the children's smiles, he asked me: [Peng Laoshi, what is hot pot? ], I felt, I, brought something to them.
We bring a choice to children and tell them that besides being in the mountains, they can choose to go out and see the world. The choice to stay in the mountains or go out is their own choice. When I left school, it happened to be the entrance exam for the sixth graders. There are more than 30 people in the class, a dozen of them have been admitted to junior high school, and the rest have not been admitted to go home to farm and marry their wives or go out to work. I don't think there's anything wrong with that. A sensible child will make the world a little better no matter where they are. No matter whether they continue to study or go home to farm, as long as they are upright people and have their own little happiness, it will be fine. And what we bring to them should be a good memory from a certain moment in childhood: when I am old, I can still recall that on June 1st one year, I wore beautiful clothes and ate something called hot pot~
Reality It's really hard to change, but we have to face it. As one of the kids born into brothels said: though it's hard to face, we must look at it, because it is truth.
We can't change the world, but just do our best to create more smiles and more beauty Remember, the world will be a better place.
After watching it, I realized that the documentary won the Oscar for Best Documentary in 2005, and one year after the film won, Puja, one of eight children, still became a prostitute. At the end of the film, it is also mentioned that many children still did not escape their fate and returned to their previous life trajectory. Some people also said that director Zana was involved too much. If I were in Zana's position, I should have done the same thing as her. There is no way to sit back and ignore it. Even if the possibility is small, I want to try and change the fate of these children. And I don't think Zana didn't change their destiny, at a certain time in their life, they created their own pure little world, their photos were admired by many people, they left innocent smiles...
hope Children all over the world can grow up healthy and happy, and I hope we adults will always keep the heart of a child, as a kid forever~
