It's all virtual world

When I watched it for the first time, many doubts were not sorted out. After watching it for the second time, I could only come to the conclusion that yes, the movie is in a virtual world from beginning to end. The dark yellow style at the beginning, all kinds of old-time streets, and dilapidated houses are all reactions of the war era, the purpose is to simulate the atmosphere of the game. The disappearance of the dog and the wordless Japanese title book finally only led me to the conclusion that this is a virtual world. When Ash arrived at the real-level battlefield, I was more certain of my thoughts. This battlefield is the most real world to simulate, which means that the dim world mentioned earlier is virtual. And Murphy said that Ash's hair was originally silver, but her hair is black throughout the movie, so Ash is in the virtual world from start to finish.
