Tipping point and afterlife

(2011.06.22) I originally planned to watch the film at this festival, but unfortunately I didn't catch up. Perhaps the title of the movie is "After Life" is more appropriate. The overall narrative is divided into three lines, and three short stories are told flatly at the same time, and the final climax connects the fate of the three by the knot of life and death.

The tsunami and subway explosions are punchy, and the shots of other narrative footage are also very selective. The picture floating in the water is beautiful.

At the end of the movie, the male pig in San Francisco caught a glimpse of the female pig in Paris at the book club, and then took the initiative to go to the hotel to find the female pig through the prompt of the London children. He took a deep breath into the sky: I must be crazy. . So sweet~ Destiny is really destined:

Maybe when the boy fell ill at the age of 8 and almost died, it was already destined that they would meet for the first time on the streets of London.

Twin boys, very cute, brotherly love, the cap rolls before the subway explosion is so touching, that is the call and protection of love.

Spiritual point. I also believe in the existence of the spiritual world. When a person loses consciousness, some images really appear in his mind, just like in a dream. To the awake, maybe a few minutes at most, but to the unconscious, it seems a few days or even half a lifetime.

Hereafter quotes

  • George Lonegan: I'm sorry, I'm losing him now. He's... he's leaving. He wants to leave.

Marcus: No, Jase. Don't go. You can't.

    [starts crying]

Marcus: Don't leave me. I don't wanna be here without you. Please, Jase, don't go. I miss you.

George Lonegan: Okay, he came back. He's here. He says if you're worried about being on your own, don't be. You're not. Because he is you and you are him. One cell. One person. Always.

  • Billy: Did you do the reading?

George Lonegan: Look, you still don't get it, do you? You think just 'cause I can make money doing this... just because I can, that I should do it.

Billy: [shrugs] Yeah, yeah I do. I also think you have a duty to do it, because you have a gift.

George Lonegan: It's not a gift, Billy, it's a curse.
