Brilliant is the pursuit of his life

First of all, I am very fortunate that Leonardo left his best years and the most beautiful appearance in this film, and interpreted Rimbaud with high spirits and outstanding performance.

Rimbaud, the talented teenage poet, was not understood by many when he first became famous, but Verlaine was one of the very few who understood him. Verlaine had a stable, well-off family, loved his wife, but they didn't really understand him. Rimbaud's appearance brightened Verlaine's eyes. They cherish each other, and it is logical that they will fall in love with each other and live together in the future.

To say that they love each other, it is better to say that the two people who are lonely and helpless on the spiritual level finally found the other person who has the same soul and mind.

Verlaine was clearly deeper down. Rimbaud is young, outrageous, and deviant. He hates the pedantic, imaginary, and arrogant in society, and he just lives with it. He dreams of changing the world and creating the future. He wants to chase the bright sun, keep going forward and never look back. In his dreams he kept muttering "On, on, on..." He couldn't stand a mediocre, perfunctory life, which was why Verlaine looked so resolute when he begged him to go back with him.

He finally found it. He came to Africa and found the splendor he pursued all his life. Finally, he stopped breathing in the sun, ending his young life.

Die in the brightest years, this may be the best ending for the poet. He never gave up the pursuit of light, even knowing that he would be burned and burned. When the light of the sun first caught his eye, it was destined that he could no longer bear to live a life as mediocre as others. The only thing he could do was to gamble his life towards the golden light. There was not a day in his life that was not so full of passion and pride that he prematurely exhausted his exuberant energy and ended his life.

At the end of the film, Verlaine orders two glasses of absinthe alone, as if the immaculate, high-spirited teenager sitting across from him never left.

"Tell me if you love me."
"You know I am very fond of you... Do you love me?"
"Yes."

This time, he didn't pierce the knife into his palm again, and he had no chance, but printed a deep kiss there, which was farewell.
That youth, ever young, ever beautiful, was his great and glorious sin.

"I found it."
"What?"
"Eternity... it's the sun mingled with the sea .

"

Oh how wrong we were to think that immortality meant never dying."

Eternity and immortality have nothing to do with physical death. After Rimbaud's death, he did indeed create the future, ushering in a new era of poetry. Although he was too late to see it, his passion for chasing the sun did not fade with the passing of his life in the era he created. His soul as hot as the sun has always been admired by people. This is immortality and eternity, Rimbaud found his own eternity, and also created immortal splendid poems for the times.

PS The soundtrack of this film is also very good.

The first half was still in high spirits, and in the middle, the grass and mud horses began to run. What kind of JB stuff is a literary genius like Rimbaud, like a comet across the sky, talking about without focusing on his symbolic poetry? The one who really gets the full score is the peak-looking little plum, so beautiful that people can commit all crimes for him, and one eyebrow can suck away a person's soul~~~

Leona's youthful appearance is really endearing.
