Two Versions of "Steel", One Philosophy

The Bone Club has produced many classic animations, of which my favorite is [Steel].

Although the 03 version and FA (09 version) produced by Bones are both rave reviews, everyone's evaluation is also very inconsistent. 03 It gives people a feeling, delicate feelings, and in-depth portrayal of characters. Although the second half is original, it is also very successful. FA feels that the content is too compact, and many places are not detailed enough and in-depth. But the quality is quite high, and the plot is also very follow the original production.

Generally, the most controversial part of 03 is the original part. Some people think that this part of the original plot is too exciting, and the idea on the other side of the door is simply shocking! God made!

Opponents feel that this part has many loopholes and logical problems compared with the original worldview. Maybe the ending was too deliberate to cause regret or something.

FA is produced in full accordance with the original work. The main criticism is that the front part is too rushed, too compact, and omitted a lot. But on the whole, the second half of the plot is very exciting, and the quality of the whole picture is also kept very high. Perfect ending, no regrets! Some people also feel that the ending of FA is not deep enough compared to the 03 version.

In this regard, I would like to say some personal views on [Steelmaking] as a whole. Wonderful! classic! book! [Steel] Although it is classified as a kind of animation work, but in terms of its own content, depth, and meaning, I think it has exceeded the category of general hot-blooded comics. [Steel] The play always emphasizes a sentence, that is, "equivalent exchange". If you don't pay for anything, there will be no return. If you want to get it, you must pay a "price" (this is estimated to be the source of the original animation [Black Contractor] of the Bones Club). The entire story of steelmaking revolves around this "equivalent exchange" rule, starting from the two brothers' human body refining and ending at the end of the story. However, I think the meaning expressed in [Steel] is much more than that. I just watched two [Steel] from the beginning to the end, very enjoyable, and I was very emotional after watching it, but it was difficult to express in words. .

Let's talk about some views on the two [Steel]. The original story in the second half of the 03 edition, in my opinion, is still very exciting. First of all, it is connected with the first half of the plot, it does not feel inconsistent, and the suspense, depth and other aspects are well maintained. Because there were only so many comic plots at that time, this part of the plot was adapted very delicately and delicately. The substitution of the audience's feelings is very successful. The most impressive part to me is the "synthetic beast" part. When I heard that "synthetic beast" started calling "Brother!" "Let's play together!", I couldn't hold back my tears. . There is really no way to control it! On the one hand abusive, on the other hand angry! Hate! The ugliness of human nature is revealed! In version 03, those synthetic beasts and monsters made from human bodies were really distressing. Bone's portrayal of this aspect is really tear-jerking, and at the same time reflects reality and human nature. At the end, I was also shocked after reading it. The setting on the other side of the "door" was simply too unexpected. . .

Because the first half of 03 has such a delicate description, when making FA, most of these things are simplified or omitted, which is one of the reasons why FA is criticized. But starting from the tenth episode, continuing the comics plot of the year, this description is very exciting. The setting of the foreshadowing, the portrayal of the characters, especially the villains, make people hate it. Every character in [Steel] is a living person, not masked. Humans are creatures with multiple personalities. It is impossible for a person to have only one character. There are evil and kind thoughts. It is just a matter of priority. Some people think that FA is not as detailed as 03's portrayal of characters. In my opinion, the reason for this misunderstanding is: for the preconceived view of the 03 version, because the original plot of 03 has only a small part, and it is not easy to add too many original characters to the original plot, so I have deeply portrayed the previous characters. . But maybe some of the characters in 03's in-depth refinement are not really important characters in the original work at all? For example, the female believer in 03, that android raster? They weren't that important in the original. In FA's artificial human, the most important thing is Enwei, isn't it? The portrayal of Enwei's character can be said to be exquisite, impeccable, and very vivid.

So, if you combine the two [Steel], wouldn't it be perfect.

Next, I want to talk about the characters in [Steel]. This work of steelmaking has put a lot of effort into the description of the characters in the play. The characters in both the positive and negative camps are depicted very vividly and realistically. Even if it's Enwei who killed Hughes, I don't like him, but I can't hate him anymore.

Enwei represents the "jealousy" in the "Seven Deadly Sins", he is jealous of human beings, human beings are much more fragile than artificial humans, but even if they are hit; depressed; or astray; lost, no matter how many times they will be refreshed; The people around will support each other...so he "satisfies" himself by killing them. In fact, he will only become more and more jealous and more and more empty, so that when he was defeated by the chief and survived, he still did not repent, and he was talking to himself, provoking, abusing... Ed, Ska, Colonel, Lisa next to him. They just watched silently, but didn't say anything. At this moment, they felt that Enwei was not hateful, but pitiful. He couldn't understand human feelings, and after being finally revealed by Ed, he felt humiliated on the surface (his worst enemy turned out to be the only one who understood him), and then took out the Sage's Stone and committed suicide . But at the last moment of his death, the tears he left behind and the phrase "Bye bye!" had already made his mind clear, and he was relieved. To be honest, this paragraph is quite touching, and the description of the inner contradictions of a character like Enwei is too profound.

Of these "flesh and blood" characters, my favorite is Master Mustang. This is the most real, most exhilarating character I've ever seen. Not pretentious, not pretentious, not preaching; vengeance will be revenge, and love and righteousness... On the surface, he is careless about his work, harshly teases his subordinates, messes with flowers, and sometimes climbs up by any means for the sake of ambition. But in reality he was mature, calm, and resolute. Although he pursues power in order to realize his dreams, he will never betray his friends and give up his persistent beliefs. But he has always been calm and has an irrational side. When Hawkeye encountered an artificial man, the chief rushed to save her desperately; when his best brother Hughes was killed, he found the murderer to avenge him. At the time, he madly killed Enwei like he lost his mind. In addition, the strength of the chief is also extraordinary, and he does not hesitate. The android Laster couldn't help but sighed at the firmness of his eyes when he was killed by the chief. In the face of Edd and the others, who all felt very thorny when they attacked, the big commander killed two beautifully with his overwhelming strength, making the mighty Enwei really show a look of fear on his face (commonly known as scaring the urine). Such a true temperament, a true man, how can people not be liked? Ambition and black belly have become his "cute spots" and his

favorite is Ed. It's really not easy for him. In order to see his mother's smiling face again, the brothers violated the taboo - the human body. As a result, he lost his left leg and his younger brother lost his entire body. Although he later attached his younger brother's soul to the armor at the expense of his right hand, this blow was too heavy for him at a young age. But the rare thing is that Aide did not sink because of this. In order to get back his body, the two brothers embarked on a journey. He did not hesitate to become the army's lackey to obtain information. Along the way, he encountered various people and events. They were full of hope and lost. But they did not give up, but continued to move forward with their beliefs in mind... In front of his younger brother and everyone, he always gave people a strong appearance without being discouraged, but in fact he was also very Vulnerable, but he hides the fragility. It is precisely because they have such experiences that when dealing with many incidents, they show maturity and calmness that are not in line with his own age. Children are children after all, and no matter how precocious they are, there will still be a trait that cannot be avoided at this age—impulsiveness! Ed almost died several times for this.

She really admires "Aunt Niu" for her grasp of character shaping. She expresses almost perfectly the characters that people of every age group, every position, and every environment will produce. This is also one of the most important reasons why I like [Steel].

Compared with the regrettable and memorable ending of the 03 edition, the ending of the comics and FA finally chose to be successful, but the knot that has bound many fans for many years.

Finally, I conclude with a word of charity: lessons without pain are meaningless, because without sacrifice there is no gain. However, when the pain is overcome, one will acquire a strong heart that will not give in to anything, yes, a heart of steel.

Why did the brothers shine with the light of love when they walked out of the door of truth? ! Why!

The plot is compact, advancing layer by layer, listening to the more and more majestic episodes, it seems very comfortable. The pictures and scenes are diverse and atmospheric, which rekindled my long-lost desire to explore the world in animation. The whole play is very smooth and coherent, without all kinds of dog blood, irrigation, etc., it is worthy of being a classic.
