Are we in another raucous and empty jazz age by Fitzgerald? It's just that today, with high-tech multimedia in our hands, we can't wait more than any time to find the hottest information, then forget it immediately and look for the next hottest "violent spot". We used our smartphones to chase after the boring farce of star after star concocted by the media, and then used Weibo to insult each other without content. While we complain about the explosion of information, we are endlessly addicted to it. Morality has become dispensable, and earning money is the kingly way.
The hustle and bustle of the Jazz Age was followed by the pain of the Great Depression. In another impetuous and empty era, do we have the courage to wake up from this dream that is bound to crash, no longer willingly be slaves of this decadent era, and move forward numbly?
May God Bless the world, may God bless us falling men.
