Worrying plot

Christopher's gentleman character is really admirable, tolerance for his wife (maybe because he doesn't love, so don't care), caring for children, dedication to friends... But even so, I still can't accept him Romance with Valentine (although the two have no necessary connection). Feeling in love with each other because of an accidental encounter, desperate for love, this kind of idol drama-style development seems to be tried and tested, but at least not in this drama.
Maybe it's because of my acting skills, maybe it's an inherent prejudice, I've never liked Valentine, and I'm even more unhappy about her appearance. Although she and Christopher love each other, I'd rather be a cruel audience, break them up, and fulfill them Sylvia's wishful thinking.
Sylvia may have done a lot of wrong things, but her love for Christopher is sincere and fervent. In order to make Christopher care about her, she did a lot of stupid things, maybe not so rational, but it made people sigh. The unrequited woman is so blind and reckless, just to keep her lover, but Christopher is obsessed with her Valentine like a wood. Poor Sylvia, trying so hard to change, praying so devoutly, going to the battlefield alone in order to see him, how much she hoped to keep Christopher's heart, but in vain.
This poor woman, finally waiting for her love, is a painful unrequited love. Christopher, why can't you take a good look at this poor woman. .
Off topic, the acting skills of Cum Fu and Rebecca Hall are good.
