The various gestures of art and the meaning behind them

As a documentary of street graffiti culture, it seems a little overshadowed; if it is regarded as the personal biography of the legendary Banksy, it will end up as a catch-all. It is clearly the work of the graffiti master himself. How could he have the cheek to make a biography for himself? Halfway through the show, I gradually sensed the irony, which turned out to be aimed at the art dealers. They have money, but they don't really understand art. They just rely on dislocated enthusiasm and use the influence of media to attract a large number of audiences to flock to them, thereby making speculative profits.

From the staggering life experience of Mr. Brainwashing, I found myself beginning to wonder what is the true meaning of art? Why can't Mr. Brainwash's works be considered real works of art? Should art pursue stunning aesthetic effects, or should it continue to pursue commercial value? If Michelangelo, Van Gogh, Picasso is art, then what kind of art is street graffiti? If street graffiti can be favored by the audience, why can't it be sold as a commodity?

All the confusions were not completely resolved in the end, but at least this documentary brought me another angle to understand street graffiti, and even allowed me to walk into the boundless world of art, appreciate the various gestures of art and its background meaning.
