"Time Machine": Time flies, things are not what they are today! ?

Recently introduced by my cousin, I watched "the time machine". As I was preparing for the exam, I took a quick look. Maybe I didn't watch it very seriously, maybe I watched more movies about time travel, or maybe my comprehension was limited. All in all, I didn't feel that much shock when I watched the film, but it was a little inexplicable.
Dr. Alexander wanted to save his lover Emma who died unexpectedly. After 4 years of painstaking research, he built a time machine and returned to the day when his lover died, trying to save her life, but who knew that Emma could not escape the fate of death. Died in another accident. So Alexander understood that no matter how many times he went back, he could not change his lover's fate.
Obviously, the film is the kind of fatalism, unlike the theory in "Back to the Future" or "The Butterfly Effect", there are countless parallel time and space, you can go back to the past to change history, and when you go back to the present again, it will change according to what you have changed. History continues. Here, history cannot be changed and fate cannot be escaped. Seeing this, I don't know how the film will develop, whether the protagonist will go back again to find a way to save people, or should he just go back earlier and have a happy time with her. However, I never guessed that he would go to the future to find the answer.
He came to New York in 2030 (incomprehensible, why is the film introduction written back to 2005?) to find the answer, the library program told him that there is no time machine, and then he went to 2037 and encountered a human catastrophe. In a daze, it reached the distant 802,701 years, and then seemed to be out of touch with the front. The infatuated Dr. Alexander seems to have suddenly forgotten the purpose of this trip, as well as his charming lover, after meeting a new beauty. It seems that the film has entered the theme. Since then, the film has made a 180-degree turn and staged a hat-trick of heroes saving the world. Completely inconsistent with previous thoughts and feelings. Because he can't change the past, he changed the future, using his "now" in the future to change the "future" of the future. So the time machine was destroyed, the demon was wiped out, and he lived in that era.
What's the point of the film? Don't try to change the past? It doesn't seem to be the point. Should we seize the present to change the future? Not too clear. Foreshadowing the endless cycle of human beings? It shouldn't be this. Anyway, I feel a little bit different.
However, it is worth affirming that the dazzling effect brought to us by the stunt during the time travel enables us to fully appreciate the strange sight of the passage of time and the change of the earth. After 10,000 years, people are nothing but things, what a mood! The film gave us the visual impact to enjoy this magical mood.

The Time Machine quotes

  • Vox: Can you even imagine what it's like to remember everything? I remember this six-year-old girl who asked me about dinosaurs 800,000 years ago. I remember the last book I recommended: Look Homeward, Angel by Thomas Wolfe. And yes, I even remember you. "Time travel, practical application."

  • Über-Morlock: Come a little closer, I don't bite.
