a puzzled game

The movie has more battle scenes between the Phantom and Raoul in the cemetery than the musical, which is inexplicable. Since they planned to catch the Phantom, but Raoul actually let him go when he defeated the Phantom, is it a hard-to-get game? Following this line of thought, Raoul, who originally won the fight, was easily tied to the hanging door by the phantom. Could it be a bitter trick? That last kiss should be a beauty trick. Raoul, when did you stop watching opera to study the art of war? Alas, why did the director include this scene! Really puzzled. Besides, the movie version of Raoul is a little too suave. Seeing that this little brother's temperament is not like the kind of sword-wielding, he actually koated the handsome man Butler, which is really unexpected.

The Phantom of the Opera quotes

  • The Phantom: [to Christine of Raoul] His life is now the prize which you must earn!

  • Madame Giry: He welcomes you to his opera house...

    Firmin: His opera house?

Madame Giry: ...and commands that you continue to leave box 5 empty for his use. And reminds you that his salary is due.

    Firmin: His salary?

Madame Giry: Well, Monsieur Lefevre used to give him 20,000 francs a month.

Firmin: [grabs note from Andre] 20,000 francs?

Madame Giry: Perhaps you can afford more? With the Vicomte as your patron?

Firmin: Madame, I had hoped to make that announcement public tonight when the Vicomte was to join us for the gala. But obviously we shall now have to cancel, as it appears we have lost our star. A full house, Andre. We shall have to refund a full house!

Madame Giry: Christine Daae could sing it, sir.

Andre: A chorus girl? Don't be silly.
