Three reasons for or against the death penalty

I think the attitude against the death penalty person is probably: 1. A criminal has a human side in addition to the demonic side, he or she is first and foremost a human being (as George Orwell felt); 2. No one has the right to take anyone's life; 3. It is meaningless to treat evil with evil. When is the time to overcome violence with violence.
Those who support the death penalty believe that: first, the perpetrator needs to be punished and pay the price; second, the death penalty is a deterrent to evil, and evil is the destruction of social order; third, the death penalty can comfort the family and friends of the victim.
