Barbara, a woman's epic

Barbara, a small person in a big era, an ordinary woman. I like German films, about East Germany and West Germany that I don't know the truth about, about the Germans, about the Germans. Eavesdropping on the storm, goodbye Lenin, our fathers, the story of the little people in the big background. The impact of the political system on people's lives is not the people's fierce and straightforward rhetoric, nor the casual expression of personal political opinions. Everyone is not a politician. We only control our own destiny and the direction of the destiny of the times. No one knows.
Barbara is not an ordinary woman, she is also a doctor. Reticent, always very quiet, deliberately keeping a distance from that unfamiliar environment, just for personal self-preservation in that turbulent era. When this silent, even indifferent, and slightly mysterious woman appeared, it attracted the attention of many people around, especially the male doctor. Several times the male doctor's initiative to show affection was rejected by Barbara indifferently. When the patient was in pain and the doctors were helpless, she firmly expressed her opinion and finally saved her life. This time, the male doctor strengthened his confidence, changed his strategy, and approached Barbara proactively. Every raid by an uninvited guest, every body search that tramples on a woman's self-esteem, and ubiquitous surveillance, this kind of life, the average person may have collapsed long ago, but Barbara did not, living strong, waiting for her lover is her hope and sustenance.
There are two clips in the film, which appeared the most and left the deepest impression on me. One is cycling and the other is smoking. I can see the imperceptible smile on Barbara's face as she rides her bike through, and only moments like these are free. A depressing and dreary life intertwined with the complex feelings of flying away and reuniting with a lover. It was a time of doubt. Barbara had no friends, no one to trust, buried everything in her heart, and kept her secrets. Only smoking to vent, to find solace, a moment of relief.
The appearance of that little girl undoubtedly broke everything that was dull. The arrival of the little girl allowed Barbara and the male doctor to understand each other, the reunion of Barbara and her lover after a long absence, and the expectation of a new life. She began to prepare for her departure. Surveillance and searches became more frequent and harsh during that time, but fortunately everything went well and Barbara had to wait. It's been a tough day, but the little girl has an accident again. Barbara must make a choice, choose to stay and continue a horrible and horrific inhuman life, or leave to live a new life of freedom. If she stays, she may never see her lover again. Everything here is so unfamiliar and uneasy, and she is helpless. If you leave, you can reunite with your lover and live a free life, where everything is so familiar and cordial. When she sent the little girl away and cried herself, at that moment, Barbara's helplessness and despair all poured out. The rebirth of one life and the farewell of another life are not a kind of separation of life and death. Stay, the future is uncertain. Reunion, a long way off. Goodbye, forever.
The male doctor was also worried that when Barbara left, how reluctant he was in his sad and lonely eyes. The arrival of Barbara may be a kind of fate, opening the closed heart door, finally seeing a light, but it disappears. Her return, a look, a smile, a thousand worries, a thousand words have all gone with the wind. This is the end of a story that no one knows about in the big era, which may not be love. Every era and every piece of history does not care about the joys and sorrows of the world, but I do. The night sky shines brightly because of the stars. The vicissitudes of life in the world, Fang writes the spring and autumn of the generations.
Barbara, a woman's epic. The fate of the mulberry field changes, I wish happiness to care.
