The plot is too simple and rough

The scenes and animations are quite satisfactory, but the screenwriters are not.
The biggest flaw is trying to make a difference. The adventurous princess is useless except calling Jack and being rescued.
Some plots can't stand up to scrutiny. The giant like a primitive man can make armor and meat rolls?
The emperor and Jack ran on horseback, the giant was about to catch up, why did they still run into the castle? And how could Jack be so behind them?
In order to pull the city gate with dozens of people, it is impossible to compete with the giant? Not to mention a tool made of broken wood? In order to prevent the giants from entering, the easiest way is to burn the door with fire. It can be seen that not only giants are stupid, but even humans are stupid.
In short, it is a film adapted from a traditional call story that has many loopholes and cannot be reckoned with. The blue-haired monster in Xmen played the role when he was young. His expression changed too little, and the psychological description of the character was too simple. He turned out to be the boyfriend of the new Oscar actress Jennifer Lawrence.
And he fell in love with the princess the first time he saw her profile, which was really love in a fairy tale.

Jack the Giant Slayer quotes

  • Isabelle: You must think I'm very silly.

Jack: No. I just wish that... Well, earlier, at the market...

Isabelle: Thank you... for defending my honor, Jack.

Jack: Anytime. Here, I'll take your coat. And until you find your own adventure...

Isabelle: [receives a book from Jack] "The Giants of Gantua."

Jack: My father used to read that to me.

Isabelle: That was always my mother's job.

Jack: I hope you find what you're looking for, Your Highness.

    Isabelle: Call me Isabelle.

    Jack: Isabelle.

  • Elmont: Well, she's not in the house. This is the only other place she could have gone.

Crawe: If she climbed down, we would have seen her.

Elmont: [notices a footprint in the mud] She didn't climb down. She climbed up.

Roderick: Why would she do that?

    Crawe: If she were cold.

    Elmont: Or hungry.

Jack: [to himself] Or looking for an adventure.
