It's raining at home today, and it's drenching and soaking everything. The afternoon is a rare free time. I got on the bus and swayed all the way. Raindrops kept falling on the window. It was foggy outside the window. It seemed that all the noise was far away from me.
In such a short half afternoon, I pulled away from my usual busyness and anxiety, turned on the computer, and started watching Makoto Shinkai's new work "The Garden of Words".
The last time I watched his "Five Centimeters Per Second" was five years ago, on a sunny afternoon, surrounded by the smell of the sun. The weather was different twice, but he prepared a lot of patience in advance, because his story was told too slowly and too slowly, and even a little less patience could not finish it beautifully.
I like the trains in Makoto Shinkai's animation. They are long and not crowded. The faces of the people on the train are blurred and their expressions are alienated. Only when you reach a certain place, or meet someone, can you have a reason to show your face. Nothing can reflect the beauty of distance like the train in the story. The tired face in the car, the day and night outside the car window, sunny and rainy days, are all illusory. Only the end where the spinning wheels are rushing is the only focus. .
I like the rainy and snowy days in Makoto Shinkai's animation, the colors are bright, the pictures are neat, but there is silence and coldness everywhere. If the weather is like that, alone, or with two or three friends, don't say anything, just sit quietly, how good it would be.
