Although I use such complimenting words to praise now, I think that many original fans are like me. When I heard that "Rurouni Kenshin" will be adapted into a live-action movie, they are ready to scold, and even set makeup. After taking it out, I was so critical and mean, I couldn't believe that one day I would accept it.
Because the original work of "Rurouni Kenshin" is a cross wound in many people's hearts.
Although it cannot be called an epoch-making work, in those days, countless people were moved by the comics, by the TV version, and by the perfect OVA recollection. The diminutive red-haired swordsman and his reverse-blade sword are an icon, and before Inoue's "Rogues", it was almost the only work many people thought of when they mentioned "swordsman comics". It is precisely because I like it and because it is important, I am afraid that it will be destroyed by "realization". Even if the live-action version is already an established fact, I want to struggle to express my opposition. The Kenshin in our hearts only exists in the second dimension, how could he live in the third dimension.
It is precisely because of such a strong rebellious mentality that I did not watch the movie for a long time after it came out. But what is surprising is that the reaction of the surrounding friends after watching it is actually unanimous and praised, which is simply inconsistent with the habits of my friends who are cunning and strange. "Is it really that good?" He clicked on the video with such a question and a very skeptical attitude, but he didn't expect to be convinced, and sighed.
The scene is completely in place. Unlike some Japanese film productions, the scene is fake. In the opening battle of Toba Fushimi, the blood shadow Daoguang, the first encounter between Saitoichi and the executioner Pudaozhai, Kenshin still had the cold eyes of Pudaozhai. As for the final battle of watching Liu Zhai, it can be regarded as restoring the original work at all costs.
Action, all the highlights. It is better to say that the action scenes of the whole film can basically be said to be the pinnacle of Japanese films this year. There is no falsehood, the punches to the flesh, and the skills of judo and karate are all real. And the restoration of each main character's moves is so sincere that it brings tears to the eyes. The fight scene is the most refreshing place for the audience to look at, there is no doubt that it is beautiful.
The plot is reasonable. It is reasonable to combine several stories from multiple stages of the original work, but they are linked together. The appearance of the true and false Tutosai, Sanosuke and Gao Hehui, the double BOSS setting of Kanyanagi and Renwei, and even a memory back of Shedaba... Even if it is indeed different from the original, it still makes the original Fan moved to the end.
Character, the biggest surprise. What Yuan Zuofan is most worried about is whether the character in his mind will be completely different from the original, but Kenshin of Sato Ken is almost the best Kenshin you can imagine. In addition to being too tall (Sato 170cm) so that he is always hunchbacked and short in the film, but whether it is the murderousness of the sword, the gentle smile of Kenshin, the self-effacing words of the samurai, the cuteness when getting along with Kaoru, the battle Shi's ruthlessness and even the mantra of "Ooh" makes people think "Yeah, this is Kenshin, this is the living Kenshin". His interpretation is very restored, from character to image, no matter how picky the original chef can't deny it. And Sato Ken also said in the interview that he is also an original fan, but he is still afraid of doing hard work in order to perform well. But after watching the movie, we can all applaud his efforts. Yosuke Eguchi's Saito seems to be a little more rapturous than the original, but when he puts on his teething pose, many people are so excited that they bounce off their seats: it must be him! Aoi Yu's Gao Hehui also surprised many people. Aoi Yu's previous small and fresh line made many people question whether she could play the royal sister Ahui who was responsible for the color in the original work. In fact, although the color is a bit lacking, but Her momentum, her tragedy, her unwillingness and her bravery, Miss Aoi Yu is very good. Kamiya Kaoru's Takei Saki can almost be said to be the Japanese actress who was scolded the most before Gangli Ayame, saying that she was too vase as an actress as a model. But here, I just feel that her beauty has not been brought out well, but her performance is by no means bad. The painful struggle of the last battle of Blade Guard was heart-wrenching. It's also that Sanosuke's Aoki Sublime looks at least five years older than the original... But in the performance, he still showed Sanosuke's seemingly love of money but actually chivalrous, carefree and gluttonous personality characteristics perfectly. The villain's two big bosses even invited Japanese powerful old actors Kagawa Teruyuki and Yoshikawa Koji to perform, except that Kagawa's Guanliu is a lot rounder than the original's slender face, which can be called a divine restoration.
On the whole, the rhythm is relaxed and moderate, and supplemented by Naoki Sato's flaming and praiseworthy soundtrack, this is a good movie that is worthy of full devotion whether it is the original meal or not. Although non-original fans may not be able to appreciate the connotation or deep meaning of the story in this short period of time, for the original fans, Jian Xin smiled lightly and said gently, "The sword is a weapon, and swordsmanship is murder. Tricks, no matter how gorgeous the words are, can't change this fact. ... But, I still prefer Miss Kaoru's innocent dream words over the truth." .
This adaptation is very satisfying, to the point where I even look forward to it but I dare not look forward to whether there will be a sequel. After all, "I'm back" and "Welcome back" are already used at the end, but since it's done so well, one can't help but hope that the next wonderful things can be presented like this. Zhi Zhixiong's real and Bigu Kiyojuro have not yet appeared, and whether the reminiscence chapter that has broken countless hearts can be restored...
After reading it, I will feel ashamed when I look back at the various doubts and even slander before, and now I will keep the adaptation of the live-action version. Opinions are more accurate.
From then on, I became a fan of Sato Ken's starting point.
