Most of David Lynch's films are full of spooky noir. This makes this "Mr. Streeter's Story" a bit different. Lynch changed his style from the past and presented us with a warm little freshness through the story of an old man.
From the beginning of the film, the theme is straight to the point. Neighbors found Street sick lying on the ground, and then he and his daughter were sent to the hospital. After examining him, the doctor advised him to rely on medical equipment and rest more in the future. The old man was very stubborn and didn't pay attention to the doctor at all. When my daughter asked about his condition, he passed by. But attentive people found that there was a kind of sadness in the eyes of the old man at this time, but then the plot continued to develop. The old man learned from the phone that his brother was seriously ill and decided to see him. Then move on, the lawn mower and the RV have become a special scenery on the road, and then meet a working woman on the road. The woman accidentally killed a deer, but the pressure of life made her become hysterical. This demeanor is also reflected in the next episode, where a group of cyclists pass by Street, and the old man takes the initiative to stop and greet them, watching them go. The story has its ups and downs, Mr. Streeter encountered an episode on the road, the lawn mower trigger failed when driving downhill, but it was a near miss. The old man met a kind-hearted man, helped him repair the machine and lived in the back garden temporarily. This plot not only depicts the kind-hearted male host, but also leads to a story of a World War II veteran.
