two sides of human nature

Human nature is the synthesis of good and evil. A well-dressed philanthropist during the day turns into a bloodthirsty demon at night. The film specially designed a shadow character to represent the evil side of Mr. Brooks. The dialogue between the two people highlights such a contrasting conflict, or shows such an inner conflict in front of the audience. Mr Brooks's insight into the world, his struggle for human nature and his love for his daughter are all vividly displayed. The end of the film is strongly suggestive.

Another split personality film, my favorite genre. See also Costner, nice.

The film is not suspenseful at all, it has already left the definition of good people and bad people, and the ending is better than the previous ones.

Mr. Brooks quotes

  • Marshall: For all the taxes we pay, you'd think they'd make it more difficult to hack into the police personnel file.

  • Mr. Earl Brooks: Finding someone you think would be fun to kill is a bit like, well it's a bit like falling in love. You meet a lot of candidates, and you like some of them, and they're nice. But they're not right. And that special one comes along, and your heart beats faster, and you know that's the one.
