"Great Expectations" is a remake of the classic novel of the same name by British author Charles Dickens. For those who have no experience in watching related film and television works, Mike Newell's version of "Great Expectations" is a good choice. The background of the story is from Christmas Eve 1812 to the winter of 1840. It narrates the three life stages of the protagonist orphan Pip from the age of 7. The film restores the original work to a relatively high degree; a good masterpiece can be remade to rotten , although not the same, but each has its own merits.

I can't watch it halfway through. Cass's configuration is quite high, but is it really good to adapt it so modernly, or maybe it's because there are too many versions. But in other words, the classics can be constantly interpreted... This feeling does not interpret anything, but only pursues the superficial and unconventional.

The soundtrack makes the whole movie look like a Qiong Yao drama, and the way of photography is too retro. And screenwriter's ability to adapt the script is too poor. . . I wanted to give two stars, but for my favorite Jeremy Irvine's sake, I'm not so tricky.
