The paranoia about Terry Gilliam goes without saying, the Terry Gilliam-style jokes in "The Brothers Grimm", the Terry Gilliam-style performances of all actors, and the Terry Gilliam-style art make the whole film quite personal. Heavy and recognizable.
Although it is named after the Brothers Grimm, there are no characters from Grimm's fairy tales (such as "Snow White", "Cinderella", "The Frog Prince", etc.), so it is just a story about the Brothers Grimm created by Terry Gilliam and the screenwriter. The virtual fairy tale itself has nothing to do with the stories created by the protagonists. Even so, there are still some shadows, such as the magic mirror ("Snow White"), one of the important props.
Like all of Terry Gilliam's other films, the birth of "The Brothers Grimm" has undergone several twists and turns. For example, the original producer withdrew its capital in the middle, and a dispute with the new owner caused the film to be delayed for half a year. Terry Gilliam and the American Writers Association took it on. ... So, this film seems to have a bit of a stubborn face.
