Wag the Dog: To Ridiculously Follow the Politics of America

Does American have no brain at all? Or just the smoke of the political tricks is so surreal that it can fool the public that bad? A Hollywood producer. A Washington spin-doctor. When they get together, they can make you believe anything.
The story sets up on the occasion before America's presidential elections. A spin-doctor and Hollywood produce join efforts to “fabricate” a war in order to cover-up president's sex scandal. They work together as a well-organized team, creating a war hero who's a disabled prisoner, a lovely young female refugee who's a common girl from the States, a fake patriotic funeral which is watched by the whole world. They did it, the president won, but the people failed, the ideal of a independent, democratic America failed.
In this movie, we can see that, though the whole crew is very professional, the public is very easily to be affected by the political influence. There's a subtitle, “What's the thing people remember about the Gulf War? A bomb falling down a chimney. Let me tell you something. I was in the building where we filmed that with a 10-inch model made out of Lagos.” In that we can truly perceive the effort the film-makers made to satirize the public for their innocence of thought-free for politics.
What cannot be surprising is this movie couldn't be show on the screen of China's cinemas, and hasn't also been published. We lose a chance of getting this inspiration of how to value the information which government give us, and how to response it. People from America at least have the opportunity to be humiliated and then learn from it (Although the movie was starred by famous Oscar-winning actors like Dustin Hoffman and Robert de Niro, it still can't fit the appetite of the American's majority ; so the box office wasn't good. With few watchers, the movie can't be very profound). That's the progress we have to make in a long time.
