A gorgeous goth metal feast

Forget that this film is actually a follow-up to "Interview with the Vampire", which has an important place in the history of vampire movies. All from Vampire Chronicles by Anne Rice. There are twelve books in the "Chronicles" series. The first of which is the famous "Interview with the Vampire" (Interview with the Vampire 1976). The Vampire Lestat (1987) and The Queen of the Damned (1989). The second and third respectively.
The film mixed the second and third, but the final effect seems to be very bad. Maybe the director of this film should learn from Peter Jackson, after all, it is slow work and meticulous work. Too quick for quick success and it seems that the outcome is not good.
The biggest highlight of this film is the music part, let's not talk about the catalogue.
Not Meant For Me - Wayne Static of Static-X
Forsaken - David Draiman of Disturbed
System - Chester Bennington of Linkin Park
Change - Deftones
Redeemer - Marilyn Manson
Dead Cell - Papa Roach
Penetrate - Godhead
Slept So Long - Jay Gordon of Orgy
Down With The Sickness - Disturbed
Cold-Static - X
Headstrong - Earshot
Body Crumbles - Dry Cell
Excess - Tricky
Before I'm Dead - Kidney Thieves
The songs are all brilliant, even a band as hilarious as LP is uncharacteristically gloomy and sings goth
right when it's a goth musical watch it

Queen of the Damned quotes

  • Club Vampire: Like him, do you?

Akasha: He reminds me of someone.

Club Vampire: All he's going to remind you of soon is a pile of bones. We're going to dismember him, bleed him dry.

Akasha: Really? Is that what you're going to do?

  • David Talbot: Can I ask...?

    Jesse: What's it like?

    David Talbot: Yes.

Jesse: Do you want to find out?

David Talbot: Me? No, no - I'm too old to live forever.
