A cruel collection feast - after watching "The Collector"

I have nothing to do, looking for something more exciting. At this time, the new work "Dark Demon/Collector" directed by Marcus Dunstan, the director of "Chainsaw", made me a little curious, so I downloaded it and started to enjoy it. Admittedly, it is no wonder that the director of "Chainsaw", the large scale of the film makes me, who is familiar with plasma films, almost unable to adapt to it. In the film, there are eyelids, guts, and all kinds of strange killing mechanisms are densely distributed in the luxurious mansion.
Originally, I thought that in this kind of thriller, which relies on the organization to make a big slogan, you can feel the psychological movement of the chainsaw director. Unexpectedly, the visual conflict occupies a larger proportion. The plot is quite simple. A thief breaks into a house occupied by a perverted killer, which is full of deadly organs. The perverted killer is chasing our male lead. Such a plasma film is indeed not a pity in Europe and the United States, but as the director of the famous horror blockbuster "Chainsaw", it is really surprising to explain such a work. Among them, there are even more unbearable killing scenes, and it was once regarded as NC-17 by the film and television censorship (under seventeen years old is forbidden to watch).
But, director Marcus is to let you see the novelty of being a chainsaw director and producer in such a vulgar plot. The whole film grabbed the audience's attention from the very beginning, and used a villain as the male lead with a strong sense of justice. This arrangement is indeed quite unexpected. The perverted killer is not just a fool who just kills everyone. As the title of the film "The Collector" says, the killer keeps the unlucky bugs he catches and locks them in a leather box as his collection. But the collection does need to be carefully selected. It must be the kind of smart person, that is, the director has made a clear point-"The brain is dead, and the hero remains." Such an interesting design has sublimated the positioning of the film to a certain extent.
After all, he is still a chainsaw director. Compared with the cold and suffocating gorgeous machines in Chainsaw Horror, the close-ups of countless victims dying in pain are like——the thigh bones are twisted and broken by mechanical power like wood, and the head bomb The same explosion, people are injected with strong acid, the lower half of the body is melted away little by little, the internal organs are all over the floor, or they are baked in a large oven and bubbling to death... In this one, there is a great Disposal of ingredients. But the blood is still hot, but it only shows you the results, not the process. In this film, at most you will see a few hooks for fishing, super glue taking up the skin, or being beaten with blood and being put into a suitcase... Of course there are bright spots, Ma Feng (or other bugs? ) got into the wound and tossed people. However, compared to the chainsaw, it is really a small house in a big house. On the whole, it is still not out of the circle of the influence of the chainsaw, and there is a certain similarity in the influence.
The ending of the movie is not conventional. I haven't seen this kind of movie for a long time. In the end, there is no evil. The hero who was struggling to the death was still captured back to the gloomy house, and the last scene was the hero screaming and being locked into the collector's suitcase. Anyone with a discerning eye will know that this is a money-rolling horror film, which is full of commerciality. Of course, it is not surprising that the second part has also been released at the end of 2012. Of course, the male protagonist escaped again. That's another story, let's not mention it.
I don't know if it's the director's carelessness or the production company's intention in the whole article. There is no mention of the purpose, reason, and background life behind the homicidal massacre. It is to let the audience fall into the tense atmosphere of cat-and-mouse and present a cruel collection feast for everyone. Admittedly, the director has great ambitions. This movie will also become an enduring series like a chainsaw, but it is still too early for this series to go, not only blood and large-scale cruelty, but also breakthroughs and innovations in the plot , is even more indispensable.
Can't say that this work is not wonderful, if there is no chainsaw. I myself like to compare it to a chainsaw. If the chainsaw is spicy and full of flavor, the collector is a lot fresher. This film has been dubbed by many people as blood-rich, but I personally feel that it is really a film full of human feelings. Even because the thief is very MAN, the whole film has educational significance, which is very different from the chainsaw. Now, the chainsaw is full of despair for humanity, and even if there are survivors, the movie will tell you that it was just an accident.
